Physical random number(PRN) has many significant applications in the fields of cryptography, communication and national security. The bit rate of the traditional physical random number generator, such as those based on thermal noise, is limited by the bandwidth of the entropy source and is only at the order of Mbps.

In recent years, with the emergence of broadband photon entropy sources, such as chaotic lasers and amplified spontaneous emission noise, several high-speed random number generation schemes have been proposed. Notably, using chaotic lasers to generate PRN has attract a lot of interest since it has very wide bandwidth and can be easily integrated. Gbps PRN has been produced using chaotic lasers.

Our research group has developed a new method to use Chaotic circuit and Chaotic lasers to generate high-speed physical random numbers. We have produce both the 4.5Gbps PRN generator with chaotic laser and the 200Mbps PRN generator using chaotic circuit in real time. This website provides a free public service to those who wish to download true random numbers generated by these PRN generators.

This website also provides the introduction of our group, our key random number tests and the overview of our products.
